Since the Last Meeting / Announcements

• New face: Corrado Piscitelli, regular of Grease Pencil meetings. He has been TD for some animated features, colleague of Ivan.
• Last Monday the Blender manual and its translations migrated from Subversion to Git.

• 51c2a0f81606: Fix #104606: iTaSC solver moves root bone to origin and imobilizes it

Patch Review & Decision Time

• #107691: Rename Copy Vertex Group to Duplicate Vertex Group
  • Module agrees, good clarification.
  • MHJ: operator name should change as well.
  • Sybren: not worth the effort on others.
  • Nate: should the description change?
  • Sybren: explain where the copy is going?
  • Not blocking though, and this is already an improvement.
• #76791: Different results when keyframing visual transforms and applying transforms manually on IK constraint
  • To decide: address in 4.0, or close as ‘will not fix’?
  • Nathan: fix it, as the current behaviour is not “what’s on the tin”.
  • Module decides: should be fixed for 4.0.

Same presentation as two weeks ago (slides).
- With some extra insight from yesterday’s discussions with Bastien Montagne and Sybren.
- Also mentioning the ‘performance prototype’ he’s been working on, which shows promising results.
