I liked it a lot when the new 2.8 UI is nicely compatible with touch displays. I use my laptop for modelling purposes, as it happens, it’s a touch device with a touch pen. I hoping there could be developments in that arena a bit more.
Like, recognise pen touches for modelling, sculpting, selecting etc. (almost every viewport features that are currently available). And, finger touch gestures for zoom, translating viewport, etc (any control that doesn’t affect the work done.)
I was hoping that these could also be programmed in. And as far as I know, this shouldn’t take much effort in the initial stage, as finger/pen touch distinction is something that’s already available, as many apps already use them. Make it available as an experimental feature.
If it’s already available, I haven’t seen. Please show me, if it is.
