SSAO wrong depth buffer filtering

EEVEE has a wrong AO in terms of depth filtering, compared to what it must to be and to 2.79’s SSAO. It’s obvious, that the AO must not climb that high on the column near the edges.

I think, this is because using Range Check, as described here:

Maybe is good to make additional settings for it: setting distance and falloff of this effect, and ability to turn it off?
