In Blender 2.79, the Spin tool remembered both the amount of steps and the angle of rotation from the previous use. In 2.8, every time you use the spin tool, it seems to reset to 9 steps, and you have to manually type in however many you want each time.
Furthermore, the tool is just far more tedious to use. In 2.79 you hit Alt+R and you’re done. In Blender 2.8 you have to manually drag the spin out, then type in the values that you want because there’s no way to drag anything precisely.
This tool would be far more useful if it functioned more like rotate. You press R, and you’re already rotating without having to click and drag. You can also type in a specific angle, or snap your rotation.
Why can’t the Spin tool just work like that? It would let people snap their spins to vertices or spin by specific angles without having click, drag, open the box, type the angle in, etc.
