Remove doubles

Hi

i have recently been using blender 2.8 with the 2.7x controls. Is it possible to add the remove double (merge by distance) shortcut from the search menu that we have when we press space? (F3 in 2.8 from what i understood).

It shouldn’t take so long to do

Currently, assigning short-cuts on the search menu (space/F3) is not available. Because that’s also contains options maybe where short-cuts can’t be applied.
However, You can search that’s option in menu (top-bar) and then assign short-cuts there. As shown:
