I know some blender users might not go for this suggestion but it’s worth a try. Instead of G for “grab” can it be changed to T for “translate” as in the more 3D-centric TRS (Translate, Rotate, and Scale). It makes more sense to me. The Tool shelf could be G and remembered as Garage as in where most people store their tools anyways. Just a thought.
