Hi,
imho the “Object>Apply>Make Instances Real” command should be moved to the ‘Object>Relations’ menu.
The current menu location is somewhat illogical when you’re dealing with linked data, and by that hard to find. Especially for new users. Took me long enough as well 
Just move the command to the top part of the ‘Relations’ menu, e.g. below the ‘Make Instance Face’ command.
Now it makes for a more logical workflow with all the other commands in the ‘Relations’ menus.
