Hello.
It’s not possible within blender to keep the density of a particle system consistent.
this is quite a huge problem for vegetations, as it’s get really difficult to stay consistent on a biome system, as the density of plants will change on any terrain or camera change (with a clipping set up as i did).
please prove me wrong

As far as I know, the current particle system (yes, it is quirky) is near its EOL, and soon it will be replaced by particle nodes system.

not soon, the hair particle doesn’t have any plan yet, as brecht said.
that’s why i’m trying to regroup everything wrong with it in this topic.

No way to keep a particle sys density consistent through its usage.
having a particles count per m² or km² could be really more useful, as it give a true idea of the density.

If not enough display option, visualizing complex biomes is almost impossible. Or at least not confortable at all. You cannot expect blender users to play with psys parameters blindly with bounding boxes.
so here’s contents that need to be implemented:

in my point of view i obly talk about the scattering part of the hair particles sys.
