Increment Snapping

In older blender versions increment snapping always uses the currently visible grid subdivisions. I find this very useful.

In blender 2.8 increment snapping always uses 1 unit no matter of what the grid in the viewport looks like. Is there any good reason for this? Or is this just something that hasn’t been finished yet?

It is a bug that was reported by a member of Spring team.
It should not stay as is.
