I tried out the build with the Colored macOS Titlebar, and it looks wonderful! It had an especially long loading time the first open, but the second time was snappy. Not sure if there’s anything to that, but I thought I’d mention it in case anyone else experiences something similar. Thanks for all the work!
I’m glad you liked it :). Long loading times (5+ seconds) are pretty common on Blender cold runs. However, I have also observed that very rarely, launch times can be particularly long (more than 1min) when running a fresh macOS build. This happens very rarely (I’ve had it happen to me 4-5 times max), and only on builds that have never been run before, which launch instantly on subsequent runs.
I suspect that this is caused by macOS codesign checks, as I already encountered similar issues on another macOS project, where security file scans were randomly triggered due to bad signing. However I can’t really make assumption as I have not been able to properly reproduce the problem yet on Blender. But this is definitely something I plan to try to track down and profile.
