Fixed bugs :

  • blank screen when using editor with an old userpref.blend
  • sett up id name from name.

I was also hoping for it to be picked up again maybe in GSoC 2021 or this year.
We already nearly had SLIM UV unwrapping algorithm but it also stopped short before implementation AFAIR. :frowning:

Has any abandoned GsoC Project ever been picked up again after the fact, BTW?

yeah there are many project examples gsoc-2020-faster-io-for-obj-stl-ply OBJ, PLY IO GSOC project the Many lights sampling project and many others

Such a shame this isnt developed and brought into blender. Really mis an option to edit the quick favorites
