Green Edit Mode

Due to recent changes in the UI and viewport, for consistency developers opted for a green look for the edit mode of meshes.
For unknown reasons they reverted back to the known orange look.
The fact is that i really liked the green look and really wish to have it back as default color.

Judging from the reverting commit this looks be just a theme change, which means you should be able to bring this back in the theme editor.

Then i mean making it default

I’m too a big fan of the colour synchronisation of 3D View Edit Mode and Outliner. Loved the default green in the Viewport.

Yep. The green one looked much better. More modern.

It’s a case of modern vs usability. Perhaps green could be tweaked to be comparable to orange, but they didn’t have time to do that.
I’m glad that in this instance, categorisation for categorisation’s sake got reverted.
