Grease Pencil drawings on 3D Layers are transparent and don't reflect layer order

Apologizes if this is the wrong forum. Using grease pencil I’m trying to render different drawings in a 3d space e.g. opaque circle in the foreground that is in front of a opaque square. However the opaque circle becomes transparent and shows the square behind it.
Does anyone know if this is being worked on? Im trying to showcase Grease Pencil for storyboards and this feature is a key one.

I’m new to this forum, maybe you found out in the last months.

The circle may become transparent because you painted the square after the circle in the same Grease pencil object. Strokes in one GP-Object do have a arrangement order (like front to back)
try drawing in different gp objects for different 3D geometry.
