Blender is possible to create a lot of good stuff with displacement node in Shader editor , but displacements are needed some times for game export purposes , animation physics , for production purposes and so on , which we can NOT do it procedural in blender ,we have to bake displacement texture and apply it on the mesh , which will only work with that mesh itself (not other meshes and a lot time consuming ) ,this is a huge disadvantage with blender , which can be fixed .
There is a “texture nodes” in design stage. I assume the plans will be shared in more detail sometime in the future. That being said, this forum here is for information/help on building Blender.
