Using Blender 2.91.2 to made a simple object starting with cube. After a while stoping to work normaly.
And after any selection i choice he making a big pause.

Hi, please check with the latest version 2.92 or better with the release candidate of Blender 2.93 from https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/
Blender 2.93 is the next LTS version and will be published next week anyway.
If it freeze in 2.93 too you can report it to the bug tracker from Blender help menu.
It is very important to catch such bug before the release.
How many subdivisions you have on the mesh, Blender can slow down to crawl if you work in edit mode with higher sub div levels.
