Artifacts in the new soft shadows system

Making some test to blender I see that shadows always create a pattern in the shadows, a gradient.

with High Bitdepth

Shadows at /4 resolution

it’s a problem of the new shadows? the shadow buffer? a problem with light random distribution @Hypersomniac

This is an issue of precision of the buffers used in viewport rendering, not related to shadows as thi can happen on other surfaces/effects. in final render there should not be any banding as we use higher bitdepth buffers.
