Animated texture does not update when caching particles, so cannot control particles with an animated texture


I need to emit some particles when an object touches other, I created an animated texture but the textures seems to not being updated when caching the particles, or when using it for any other reason, I enabled everything in the Playback menu without luck.

Any ideas of what’s happening or any possible solution or workaround? I need this for a project.

OK … I created a ticket with this topic mentioned over decade. If nobody is going to “break” this limitation … some UI polishing would be really helpful (if possible).
