Adapting to the new Intel gpus

Now that Intel has thrown its hat into the gpu ring fight, has there been any discussion on what work will be needed to adapt Blender?

I’m sure it is likely that they will be adapted before Vulkan.

In theory the Intel GPU drivers should work with standard things like EEVEE and the workbench render engine as their current drivers for the integrated GPUs work with these. As for Cycles, Intel supports OpenCL. The only thing that would need to occur to get this to work on Intel GPUs from my understanding is that OpenCL needs to be enabled in Cycles for Intel GPUs.
