Sergey works on the render passes in viewport part of the GPU compositor project. Slowly unrolling the legacy nature of API, making it easier to integrate the same data in offline and online renders, viewport and offline compositors.
The “Z Buffer” option of saving images, Depth sockets of Viewer and Composite Output nodes were removed. More detailed motivation and link to design are available in the PR109687 page.
Habib is working on collecting Kuwahare speedup vs. quality feedback. Sergey still need to catch with the thread.
Habib is working on the regression testing for the GPU compositor. Hopefully first version of PR will be shared soon, so that we can look into some design questions (i.e. what is expected to happen if node is not yet supported, etc).
Omar worked on porting CLassic Kuwahara to GPU compositor (PR109292)
Omar is looking deeper into the automatic transform realization design.
Richard and Francesco worked on an improved retiming UI (PR109044)
