Planning for 2022
“Animation 2020” as a large Blender Institute project will be postponed further, because of Covid/Omicron + the need for workshops to get things done at the professional level Blender Institute wants.
Module plans still continue:

- Kevin: Graph editor improvements
- Demeter: Mesh-based gizmos
- Asked for many times by Blender Animation Studio: Bone Picker UI?
- Asked for many times in the community: Improving parenting workflow & hidden matrices
Short-term goals

T81836: Design: New Graph Editor Key Manipulation Operators
- Ongoing work by Christoph Lendenfeld, being reviewed by Sybren.
- D9374: Blend To Neighbor in graph editor was just accepted.
- Design question: should operators work on all selected keys, or only of selected keys of selected curves?
- Christoph will make test build; probably it’ll work on all selected keys (just like, for example, deletion of keys).

T91871: Symmetrize Armature should symmetrize transform of custom bone shape
- Ongoing work by Paolo Acampora, will work on it during the holiday.

T93047: Use other frame range for new motion paths instead of 1-250
- No activity from Colin (Kdaf) in a month, but he’s active on the tracker again and will work on it during the holidays.

D13606: [WIP/eperimental] Graph Editor: support snapping handles
- Module approves the idea.
- Bassam: Check what happens if both handles and keys themselves are selected. That should move the key and keep the handles as they are. This is not what 3D Curve objects do – they snap handles and points themselves.

- Thumbs up from the module.
Other topics
- Kevin wants to help making more icons for graph editor menus etc. Will make a design task.
- Brad has looked into UI/UX issues with the NLA editor. He, Sybren, and maybe a few others will soon have a meeting together to come up with nice solutions.
Random bug report
Bassam: auto-keying doesn’t work on camera transforms when the camera is locked to the viewport. He’ll write it down in the tracker.
