2.8 Eeveee Principled shader SSS: different results in viewport vs rendered

In the latest 2.8 build I have the following:
-an object using principled shader
-texture in “base color”
-“Subsurface” higher than zero
As I increase “Subsurface” the texture is blurred in the viewport along with the light bleed effect .
When I hit render (F12) the result is different. There is light bleeding but no texture blurring.
Is that supposed to happen? Which is the “correct” behaviour?

It’s not a crash so I didn’t report a bug but it seems like it needs fixing.
