There’s a new non-profit giving money to open source projects. I know about it through the youtube channel of a prominent Right to Repair advocate.
It might be worth looking into, to see if they’re willing to kick in to a project that is as established as Blender.
Might be worth shooting the next open movie in the Austin, TX area.
