Where to find code related to how mesh connects to bones?

I was trying to find where in the repository the code/algorithms relating to how the mesh connects to bones based on weight painting. Anyone here who knows where to look?

My guess would be the armature modifier.

Grepping the code for ‘armature’ gives me (along others)
./source/blender/blenkernel/intern/armature_deform.c

which looks promising :wink:
