If e.g. I hit Shift-A, the menu pops up, remembering the last choice I made. E.g. if the last thing I added was an Empty, it pops up with “Empty” under the mouse/keyboard cursor. This is handy, but it is apparently only preserved per session.
I think it would be nice if these choices were saved and restored with the project.
