I had to re-install windows and I’m currently setting everything up again for building Blender, is Visual Studio 2017 still the recommended version or should I get the 2019 one instead?
I use 2019 for build blender, without problems…

Either would work, whatever you prefer really, I run the tests nightly on both 2017 and 2019 and am not aware of either of them having issues the other doesn’t.
