Issues porting Blender to Android tablets

Hello everyone, I have a question.

As shown in Figure 1, the rendering effect after enabling camera depth of field in blender on PC is normal.

As shown in Figure 2, the rendering effect after enabling camera depth of field in blender after porting is much blurrier. But their parameters are exactly the same.

I don’t know what factors may cause this difference? For example, is there a problem with the depth buffer or something else?

I just tried it on a Samsung Ultra with the S Pen, it doesn’t do any much for my case.

Same here! I have installed the above build in S24 ultra and stylus have no effect on it…

amazing work but please please make work on powervr gpus, its working well on snapdragon xiaomi redmi note 10 pro a 2021 smartphone but doenst launch on a mediatek dimension 7025 ultra with powervr gpu ,a xiaomi redmi note 14 5g smartphone launched in 2025.

I gave it a try on my Matepad 11.5s
It runs but sadly the Pen isn’t Working.
Would be nice to use Blender next to Nomad Sculpt :+1:

Watch the SS buddy! I also tried on a tablet(xiaomipad6), but couldnt use the pen! after searching the solution for 5/6 hours i came upon this comment and replies xD

There are still many problems with the current porting, and we will continue to port based on blender 3.6.22.

I have tried 4.0 4.1 4.2 4.3 before, but the results were not good, including many problems with wireframe, solid, material preview, and rendering.

Currently, it is mainly Snapdragon chips and Dimensity chips.

On the one hand, there are no other chip-related devices, and on the other hand, there is not so much time.

Your project is going very well, I would like to help create a custom interface for Android, following the example of Zbrush for iPad, but unfortunately I don’t have time.

Is there a way for me to fund this project with my monthly Blender Contribution?

Krita and Godot are on Android, all that’s left is Blender to create the ultimate Android game dev suite. I would love to see this realized.

Godot engine works nicely on powervr gpu on android,very good port :+1:

godot on android is ported by a group of people

this blender android port is by one person, and is incredibly impressive already, the more people contribute the better

For grease pencil you can use animator desk addon which provides common buttons like undo/redo at the bottom.Just tested on s24 ultra and it works

But why??

Sure, Blender on Android can’t handle huge workloads… but simple ones like making low-polycount game models or Greasepencil animations make Android Godot a very worthwhile thing to invest money on.
