Drivers with node tree input value not functional? 2.8RC

Hello,

I found out that the drivers don’t work with the NodeTree input valus.

Neither with the input parameter Material nor NodeTree.

Is this intended or should I report this as a bug?

If in stable 2.79b work, report it as regrassion. if you think this is a bug, report it as bug :wink:
