How do we change the splash screen in the new 2.8 source, I have seen people changing it in older builds but in 2.8 it seems to be different and just replacing the png images throws out errors.

you need change image in ..//blendersource/release/datafiles and recompile Blender, never tried this so i not know if is need some other step before compile Blender
