Blender 2.93.3 crashes upon launch with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Computer specs: Dell XPS 15, Windows 10, 16 gigs of RAM, i7 processor, 64 bit operating system, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4096 mb of memory)

Other information: I have PulseSecure and Citrix Workspace downloaded on my computer so that I can remote into my desktop in the office. I believe the only antivirus software I have downloaded is the Windows Security Defender Anti-Virus. I have tried various solutions such as the first option listed on this website: How to fix “Exception Access Violation” error on Windows 10?

Does anyone have any idea of the best steps to take to resolve this issue so that I can use Blender? Any help would be incredibly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

It is probably a video driver problem.

  1. Knowing the exact error message and any stack trace information would be helpful.
  2. Did you try turning off your anti-viral software and running Blender?

For now, I am going out on a limb and blame Citrix Workspace for not doing OpenGL.
