- Starting work on a PR to store pose bone selection flags outside the armature. This will allow to have individual selection on bones of armature instances.

- #138445: Anim: support per-bone “Display As” overrides
- Nathan: I want to double-check with the module: how should per-bone display mode and armature display mode interact?
- Current design in the PR has a “Default” setting for per-bone that uses the armature-wide draw mode, and setting it to anything else overrides the armature-wide draw mode.
- Nathan: It could be useful to override the per-bone-overrides in some cases. E.g. if you want to temporarily see the whole armature with octohedral to better understand its structure while rigging.
- Nathan: Object display modes take the “lesser” of the viewport and object draw mode. Probably not relevant to bones, but maybe sparks ideas.
- Hjalti: Yeah, bones draw modes don’t have a order/priority.
- Christoph: For bones it doesn’t really matter. Having an override-override option can be added later, but that doesn’t impact whether we land the current PR or not.
- Decision: Module agrees with Christoph: the design in the PR is good as-is.
- Nathan: I want to double-check with the module: how should per-bone display mode and armature display mode interact?
