- Worked on a chat bot for our Blender Chat channel, to announce meetings, show a calendar of upcoming meetings, and more in the future. Development & testing happens in ##sybrens-chatbot-testing-ground
- #130425: Changing Preferences Outside of the Preferences Editor
- Hjalti’s Request: ‘Symmetrize Weights’ in weight painting mode, which either copies Left → Right, or Right → Left.
- Should be in two places:
- Weight Paint menu in the 3D Viewport (in weight paint mode).
- In the ‘Specials’ menu of the Vertex Groups (in Mesh properties).
- Hjalti: Demeter has an add-on that already does this.
- Sybren: probably better to write this in C++ (like the Mirror operator).
- Ivan: the Mirror operator is very old (2.6x-ish era), and has always worked like this.
- Sybren: while testing this, also missed a “Select vertices with non-zero weight” operator (for weight paint mode).
- Module agrees it’s good idea.
- Nathan is happy to add it to his todo list, after the timeline refactor stuff.
- Nathan will make it a To Do task on the tracker, so it’s free for anyone to pick up if they want to work on it before Nathan has time.

Hjalti: orderable custom properties
- Hjalti had a conversation with Pablo Vazquez, bothered Hjalti that custom properties are always listed alphabetically. Doesn’t allow for grouping custom properties together.
- Pablo Vazquez said it makes total sense, to turn it more into a UI List (like vertex groups, etc.)
- Hjalti will make a mockup.
- Nathan: when working at the mockup, look at the inputs/outputs for node groups are managed, because that alreayd has a lot of what you want.
- Nacho: keep in mind that some custom properties cannot be deleted, because they are ‘API Defined’. Might impact the ordering as well.
