2024-05-07 Sequencer meeting notes

Attendees

  • Aras Pranckevičius
  • Francesco Siddi
  • Richard Antalik
  • Sebastian Parborg
  • Sergey Sharybin

Notes

  • Crash/abort issue on Blender exit on macOS has been resolved.
  • Cache line patch has landed.
  • Frame All / Frame Selected works strangely on user level, showing “unused” channels, timecode obscures the view.
    • Sebastian will check on a solution which fits nicely, without spreading too much assumptions in multiple places. An explicit setting for “channel count” might make this and other places cleaner.
  • Aras is working on text outline and shadows. Some side-quest issues were found, but could be fixed separately.
  • Aras is looking into VSE HDR preview. For now re-confirmed the image buffers from the sequencer are fine, and the issue is in the drawing/framebuffer side of things.
  • Richard is working on moving non-functional changes of the improved handle tweaking, to simplify the review process.
  • Discussion about further possible timeline visual strip updates (e.g. rounded corners, etc.)
