This is a weekly video chat meeting for planning and discussion of development related to the sculpting and painting in Blender. Any contributor (developer, UI/UX designer, writer, …) working on these features in Blender is welcome to join and add proposed items to the agenda.

Current Tasks

#104613 - WIP: Sculpt: dynamic topology refactor

The main priority now is to make the PR ready for code review.
For that some unrelated features like ‘Inherit’, ‘Rake Improvements’ and ‘Weight by Area’ still need to be split off.
Various cleanups will be done but after the patch is merged.
Sergey will go over the PR with Joe to coordinate the review.

During the meeting we mainly discussed various user facing changes that are important to get improved.
These will also be addressed as soon as possible.

More stress testing should be done in the meantime with a focus on UV map and attributes preservation as well as the ‘Quality’ setting of dynamic topology.
More bug fixes are still needed there.

#105298 - Sculpt/Painting Modes: Revamp Keymap

First PRs are up for review. More will be added soon.

We discussed some changes in #108791.
Especially about shortcuts related to color/weight related operators on X.
The changes seemed fine for the module, but perhaps more feedback is needed.

#109201 - Change default repeating on textures

New task to fix textured brushes. This seems fine to go ahead and can be done once there’s time.
