Yes, we have stopped using Blender at work partly for that reason. Having a large CAD model with lots of instances makes Blender crawl while other software* doesn’t bat an eyelid.
*I say “other software” now, because this is nothing new and I guess it’s only a matter of time until the videos in that thread gets erased… then again, developers never read feedback anyway, so maybe it’ll stay.
