Would there be an interest for a low level video decoding/encoding/scaling library?


Would it be interesting for Blender to integrate a simple low level hardware accelerated video decoding/encoding/scaling library? Instead of depending on large libraries like GStreamer and FFmpeg this library main purpose would be to implement very fast encoding/decoding/scaling via a simple to use cross platform API that uses hardware acceleration where possible.
