Well, now that Silicon Macs are out and been tested, we can clearly say your statement was wrong 
Cuz intel designed apps - although emulated - run faster on a M1, which is a wonderful news. Can’t wait to see Blender running natively on these Macs, cuz the premises are shockingly good!
