Walk/Fly using NDOF > Auto Depth doesn't work

Getting back into 3D and so happy to have found Blender. I’ve also started using a Spacemouse Pro which makes working so much better.

Currently designing our home reno and giving my wife a walkthrough gets annoying as the movements hit that dead zone where you can’t go anywhere. I saw the auto depth feature but it appears as though that is only connected to using the mouse and has no effect on NDOF device viewport navigation.

Is there any way that the auto depth functions be added to NDOF devices? It would save me from having to learn how to port my scene into Unreal Engine simply to do a walkthrough.
