The significant speed improvements for image sequences and video textures may not have been outlkined enough. Scenes that previously struggled at 5 to 7 fps in OpenGL now run smoothly at 24 fps on my rig. Animated textures in general compile within frametime much easier.
Textures with dithered alpha , are now displayed without a fuzzy preview too.
Version 4.5 with Vulkan is finally the working update for all people who bet on eevee early on.
