Vector map displacement influence, directly in the 3d viewport

I wanted to ask if it was possible by adding a vector displacement map in the node editor see
its influence directly on the 3d model in the viewport, and not just in the rendering.
with cycles and with eevee would it be possible?
because the vector displacement map can
alter geometry significantly differently,
and in the case of a character it alters all
