Unified symmetry shouldn't be carried to weight paint mode

After https://developer.blender.org/D8587 we have unified symmetry throughout all modes in blender, but I find it unecessary to be carried to weight paint in the way its being carried right now.

Once you toggle symmetry in sculpt or edit mode It toggles the weight symmetry in weight paint mode instead of vertex groups X symmetry:
I don’t find it useful in a situation such as character weight painting as I see myself a lot of times activating it in edit mode to fix something in both sides, and once I have to go to weight paint, I forget about the symmetry and it paints what I don’t want in the other side.
I think it should have an option to chose if you want to unify the regular symmetry in weight paint mode or just unify the vertex groups symmetry
