Textured fbx's in a world without Blender render

I use Blender to create game assets, usually fbx’s with embedded textures both static and rigged. With the removal of Blender internal will I be able to export textured models as a default behavour?

We’ll find a way to export textures from Cycles / Eevee node materials.

This will likely be based around the Principled BSDF, which may be different than before but more compatible with e.g. Unity / Unreal / Godot.
