New Principled BSDF alpha and emission sockets question

Having those sockets are great news, but I have a pair of questions:
Is the performance better, equal or worse than using a mix shader and a transparent shader?
And the same goes for the emission shader and possible additional noise, is the performance better, equal or worse than using a mix shader and an emission shader?

Just want to understand what is being done under the hood, if it’s more optimal or if it’s the same as mixing the shaders.

It auto generates mix, transparent and emission shaders under the hood (when needed). There is no performance difference.

Could do something similar thenormal map node to invert green???
