Moving object in Z axis in top/bottom view

While viewing object from random angle, grabbing it with ‘G’ and picking axis with ‘Z’ and moving mouse upwards the object is moving upwards too - that is logical.

But when the view is changed to ‘top/bottom’ the direction of movement is reversed - meaning moving mouse upwards moves object down, and vice versa.

I dont know why it is like that, but I belive that top/bottom view behaviour should be reversed to match all other viewing angles.

I think you’re right, it should behave consistently, at the very least for those transform orientations where the Z axis is actually pointing up.

I think it’s related to this behavior also

In that example it looks that the horizontal mouse movement is translated to rotation around global Z axis.
I also think it should follow viewport coordinates,
