Just a day or two ago there was a version of keymap / interface that was a huge progress:
Z - entering wireframe mode
D - draw mode. Everything was perfect

And today (23rd of November): Z no longer enters enters wireframe view (a step backward) and it controls draw mode but WITHOUT “Overlays” menu (a HUGE step backward!) Controlling overlays through pie menu is a must!

Please, reconsider.

it’s Alt+Shift+Z for overlays, pie menu having only four enteries is quick…wireframes/xray are shift/alt +Z, i find this quicker, it only needs getting used to…w’ll see what the devs say.
