How avoid that Blender to write a empty image file when export any animation to scene files?

Any idea how to disable the creation of disk image files during animation?
My render engine allows to export all the animation in own scene files, but every time I do this, Blender creates an image file for each exported frame. File that is empty, since no rendering is performed.
Cheers…

You seem to use an atypic render engine. Hard to say much without more information.

Regardless of the render engine, Blender generates an image file for each frame when you launch an animation. As far as I know, there is no option to disable this. That’s why I asked. In case anyone knows a way to avoid generate hundreds of empty images.
Thanks for answering…

Well, I don’t with the default parameters (I think)

I sounds like two render layers are linked to two render outputs.
