GSoC 2019: Undo Improvements

Hm. I only tried it with a demo scene of many many polygons I slapped together, not on any of my actually work files. Those are separate machines and I can’t do much real-world testing with an Alpha at work, at the moment, unfortunately. :-/
Entering and leaving edit mode was pretty much the usual slow for me as well, though. 5 - 10 seconds. It was really just undo/redo of actions either already in edit/sculpt mode or translations of objects, merging/unmerging and such. Maybe my testscene was not representative enough. :frowning:

I work with modifiers alot, so that might be why as well. Not RAW Geo so much, like some people might/photo scanned or sculpted stuff.

My base geo can be pretty low/very low, but then I often throw on a mirror mod/bevel by edge weights and subSurf at like level 3-4 and maybe also weighted normals.
