May I suggest that instead of modifying the code to enable paid features, Blender joins the GitLab for open source program?
While the Community Edition is open-source, and you’re allowed to modify it, doing so to enable the Enterprise features violates the subscription terms because you will activate code under the ee/
directory, which is covered by a different license (I’m a new user and can’t post 2 links in a message, but you can browse and find the LICENSE file under ee/
yourself).
