That gives me concern. Blender devs seem already stretched thin on currently supported platforms, both in funding and dev time. There are thousands of bugs languishing in the tracker, known issues and limitations that are awaiting dev time, etc. I have given up on reporting bugs as they tend to just sit there forever.
What is your vision for iOS development on top of this? Surely it would not be taking development time and funds away from blender’s core competencies, which are already in dire need of support?
For interest gauging purposes, I am very much not interested in Blender on mobile devices when the desktop experience is already keeping the devs occupied.
How would fundraising work? As discussed elsewhere on devtalk, does that mean we would have options to fund specific regions of development? Because there are other areas of blender development I would love to fund if I knew my money wasn’t going towards what I see as a decidedly non-optimal use of resources.
I also, for the record, would like public discussion around the licensing, rather than being told to email concerns directly. Blender and its community thrives on open and transparent development processes. Licensing should not be excluded from that.
