General Topics

Modeling
Participant: Campbell Barton.
- Add Object Tool:
- It didn’t make into 2.91
- The current approach has glitches
- To move release logs to 2.92 (Campbell)
- It can provide the asset browser project with the internals to handle drag & drop into surfaces.
- Tool System
- Campbell would like to work on finishing the tool system
- To propose as a project with clear design and ready definitions (Campbell)
- TODO list feedback:
- Workboards don’t give a good list of priorities for the TODOs
- The previous landing page was better at presenting a curated
- The wikipedia TODO list didn’t work well
Nodes & Physics
Participants: Sebastián Barschkis, Sebastian Parborg.
- TODOs status
- The mix of nodes and physics gets on the way of the module organization
- Sebastian Parborg organized the tasks in the workboard, it is working well for them
- New developers that want to get involved should reach out to the module members
- Pending docs - to create empty entries on wiki (Sebastian)
- Fluid system - Mantaflow integration
- Rigid body - Bullet
- Cloth simulation
- Caching system
User Interface
Participant: Julian Eisel.
- TODOs status
- Old TODOs are organized on its own list
- Some of those one-lines are not very clear
- There are projects mixed with the todos
- The list is not actively used
- The workboard is used for managing the projects and the TODOs
- For real TODOs the UI module use TODOs subtype, known issues and the old TODOs list
- The current module goal is to not get contributors involved with TODOs but with projects instead
- Asset Browser:
- Needs stakeholder artists to continue (Julian and Dalai to figure this out).
Sculpt, Paint, Texture
Participant: Pablo Dobarro.
- Pending docs - to create empty entries on wiki (Pablo)
- New task with list of one-line TODOs and eventual link to a task if they need more info (Pablo)
- Status of ongoing project:
- Dyn-topo aimed at 2.92, Pablo can lead the review
- Missing features for dynamic topology
- Pablo to write a project proposal including the list of tools that will require icons with their explanation
- Dalai to contact artist to provide icons
- Brush management
- Pablo can start working on the presets once there is a design
Animation & Rigging
Participant: Sybren Stüvel.
- TODOs status
- Landing page with explanation of different workboard columns (Sybren)
- The TODOs list needs grooming, the module will work on that, a topic of this week’s meeting
- No ongoing project, the module is in maintenance mode mostly
- Bug fixing
- Code documentation
- Work on module TODOs
VFX & Video
Participants: Richard Antalík, Sergey Sharybin.
- TODOs status:
- Richard has a list in the VSE page.
- There is still a wiki page with old tasks.
- For this module the status of the TODO is very unclear due to a mix of issues that require new design, and proper TODOs
- Ongoing projects:
- Monique Dewanchand’s compositor proposal got feedback
- Big compositor proposal by Manuel Castilla needs more time
- Motion tracking has small interface changes
Data, Assets & I/O
Participant: Bastien Montagne.
- TODOs status:
- It is clear what is a TODO and a project (and a design task even).
- The tasks are mixed in the long term official and nice to have columns in the workboard
- The active tasks are on the corresponding release columns
- Ongoing projects:
- Overrides
- Still an existing bug in production
- Will be production stress-tested soon
- Other todos are in the agenda but can be moved to module TODOs after the project is finished
- Templates and outliner update are still pending, Bastien to ask Julian about that

- Needs syncing with the module

Grease Pencil
Participant: Antonio Vazquez.
- Pending docs - to create empty entries on wiki (Antonio)
- There is a “Grease Pencil Code Dive” presentation that can be adapted to the wiki
- Ongoing projects:
- SVG importer
- Exploring different libraries
- Will eventually present a project design for a intermedium layer to connect the backend (library) with Blender (grease pencil, curves, meshes)
