2.8 Left-select Not Working Correctly in Recent Versions

The title says it all except:

  • Windows 10
  • factory defaults

With circle select ( C ) and left-click select, object can’t be selected unless the object origin is selected or is within the circle.

With border select, any part of the object included within the selection will make that object selected.

UPDATE:
I downloaded the latest version and the left-click worked fine at first. After a few minutes of clicking on various objects, however, the problem reappeared.

I’ve tried to find a way to purposefully reproduce this, but as far as I can tell ATM, it’s random.
